I have been in deportation proceedings for a a long time, since 93 to be exact because of a criminal conviction of "reckless endangerment". It was just a crime of moral turpitude and not an aggravated felony. I have been fighting this deportation appeal after appeal. Now my case is in second circuit US Federal Court of Appeals. Just before this case was to be heard, INS decided not to go forward with the hearing and decided to remand this back to immigration court. What does this mean and what should be my next step? can somebody please help?
