Hello there,

I am a Canadian Citizen who drove to the USA to visit with my girlfriend (Infact she was visiting me in canada but cancelled her flight so we could enjoy the drive back to Florida )

Being as I am a Canadian i entered the USA on the visa waiver program. I didnt have or need a passprt, just needed my Driver's License and Birth Certificate.

I believe 6 months was the visitiation maximum.

Well i am here now 8 months (2 months overstay).

We have wanted to get married and plan to this weekend.

When i receive the marriage certificate if I go ahead and file for the I-130 and the I-485 (AOS) will this work for me?

I have been researching and think I have the grasp of it, but hearing it from someone else will def help.

Also approx time and success rate of me getting a GC doing it this way???

Am i doing the easiest steps?
