I am an American born US citizen. I have fallen in love with a Filipino woman, who has a 6 month old baby girl. The father deserted them both as soon as he found out she was pregnant. He is a very poor example for all American men. She has not heard from him since then,nor does she know how to contact him. They were married in the Philippines. We hope that her and the baby can come to US to marry me and start a loving family. Yes,she is actually willing to trust another American. Since K-1 Visa's appear to be the easiest to obtain I am hoping to sponsor her as my fiancée.We really don't know where to start. Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any insight what so ever? I would like nothing better than to prove that the father does not represent all American men.
