Where do I start? Hmmm, that might have to be my first question.

I have worked in Admin for over 20 years and have been a manager for approx 6 years or so. I have A levels and have taught people how to use various IT packages. I do not have a degree. I receive job alerts from the USA for my chosen area.

I have been to USA twice on a 3 month tourist visa and having seen what the USA has to offer in terms of a better standard of living at a cheaper cost compared to the UK, I am looking to emigrate there.

I filled in one of the internet forms and received a call from a specialist Immigration Attorneys based in the UK and they said that the overall fee will be somewhere in the region of £2,500 (UK pounds), that is enough to live on in the states for about 3 to 4 months.

Does anyone have a step by step guide. Do I have to apply for a work visa, if so which one.

I have even contemplated going on a tourist visa, applying for an extension then apply for a work visa whilst over there. Although, I add hastily, I will not work illegaly, I want to do this right.
