F1 visa rejected !!!! Reason given : you were unable to establish to the satisfaction of the consular officer?
Hello guys,

I have attended my visa interview on Aug 25th. The conversation is as follows:

Me: Hello sir,
VO: Hello

VO: Which Univeristy are u going to ?
ME: GMU univeristy sir

VO:Have you written GRE,TOEFL?
ME:I have written TOEFL as it is required and GRE is optional for the university.

VO:What was ur passout year?
Me: 2006 sir

VO:what were u doing in last 2 years?
ME:Working in a software firm sir

VO:How many backlogs ?
ME:7 sir

VO:Can i see the markslist?
ME: Sure sir, (Gave them)

Checking form ds-156

VO: Who r u going to stay with in usa?
ME: My friend name, location close to university

VO How do you know him?
ME: He is my senior in my college sir

VO: Sorry we will not be issuing a visa today.

VO dint give any details as to why the visa was rejected

In the rejection sheet,
They have checked the 3rd option which is

You were unable to establish to the satisfaction of the consular officer that the purpose of your trip is consistent with the rules of the visa class for which you applied.

I heard from my friends that this is a minor rejection compared to section 214 b and 221.

When asked to suggest about what went wrong the vo said he is not gonna go for details

(note: Immaediately after me 8 students were rejected consecutively.

It would be great if you can suggest where i went wrong in the interview?
